A-517 SINGLE-AXIS SWEEP TARGET AND STAND  DISCONTINUED!!

DESCRIPTION

The A-517 Single-Axis Sweep Target is primarily used for measuring straightness and flatness with all Hamar Laser's continuously rotating lasers to .0001" (.0025 mm) tolerances. The target head is designed to mount on a magnetic stand, using three variable length extension rods. It has a micrometer to mechanically adjust the center of the target and can swivel on its base 360 degrees without varying the measurement by more than .0001" (.0025 mm).

APPLICATIONS

  • Flatness, levelness, straightness, squareness and parallelism of machine tools and roll alignments. For use with L-719, L-720, L-720M, L-722, L-723 lasers.

FEATURES

  • Instantly generates flatness and straightness measurements to .0001" (.0025 mm) tolerances.
  • Incorporates a swivel mount that allows it to rotate ( .0001" tolerance) to face the laser without having to move the magnetic base.
  • The three extension rods included with the A-517 are 2.25"(57.2 mm), 4.0" (100.1 mm) and 6.25" (157.8 mm) in length. They can be combined to meet various elevation requirements up to 12.5" (317.5 mm).
  • The target incorporates a micrometer with 0.5" (12.7 mm) of travel, used to make fine adjustments to the elevation or to verify target calibration.
  • The magnetic stand has a "v-block" mounting surface that can be mounted on flat or cylindrical surfaces. A detachable bubble level is used to cross-level the unit on non-flat surfaces, like rolls. The level can be re-positioned on the base to match the target orientation.
  • The A-517 is used primarily with the R-308 readouts and can be used with the R-355 Computer Interfaces (requires T-251 Target Preamp).

DESCRIPTION

Hamar Laser’s new A-1519 and A-1520 Type II Universal Wireless targets operate in both single and dual axis modes (depending on the readout used) and are available in frequencies of 900 MHz or 2.4 GHz.

In single axis scanning mode, the targets cans be used with Hamar Laser’s continuously sweeping lasers (L-730/L-740 series) for measuring the flatness, straightness, squareness and parallelism of both machine tools and rolls. Either the R-1310-900 PDA Readout (displaying simultaneous readings from up to four targets) or the new R-1307 Readout (displaying readings from up to two targets) may be used in single-axis mode.

When the targets operate in dual axis mode with the L-705 Bore Laser, the new R-1307 Universal Readout must be used.

The targets provide wireless radio communication with up to a 1-inch (25 mm) measuring range, an electronic “zero” function and an operating range of 100 feet (30.5 mm) from laser to target. The A-1519 has a resolution of .00002" (0.5 microns). For applications where greater accuracy is needed, such as surface plates, the A-1520 has a resolution of .00001" (0.25 microns).

The targets feature fully linearized, position-sensitive detectors with automatic background- light correction for extremely accurate readings.

Both the A-1519 and A-1520 can easily be converted to a height gage, as the center of the target has been set to a tightly-controlled dimension. Attach the 2.565" spacer to the base of the target and the exact dimension from laser pane to the measured surface can be obtained. Optional precision spacers are available in 1", 2", 3£ and 6" sizes, all of which are accurate to .0003" (O.0075mm).

The A-1519 and A-1520 packages include the target, a magnetic base, a 2.565" precision spacer with spherical tip and three insert posts (6.25", 4" and 2" or 158.8mm 101.6mm and 50.8mm) for coarse height adjustment.

The targets require the R-1310 PDA Receiver or the A-910 Computer Radio Base Station (900 MHz or 2.4 GHz) to display target data in single-axis mode. Both radio transceivers have frequency hopping to minimize interference from other devices using the same or similar frequencies. Targets can change channels within their frequency range so two or more independent systems can be used in the same working area without interfering with each other.

Completely automatic on/off operation with no switches, wires or connections. The target activates when the laser beam sweeps across the target cell and flashing target indicators provide immediate “off target” status.

Powered by two internal lithium ion batteries for long life and usage. Comes with AC adapter/charger, low battery and charging indicators. Targets can also be charged with the optional A-1519CS-4 Charging Station that charges up to 4 targets simultaneously.

Communication working distance (PDA/PC Base Station to target) is 300 feet (91 M) maximum.

.

View Data Sheet (PDF, 838K)

DESCRIPTION

Our new line of low-cost, medium-resolution, extended-range targets (A-1532 and A-1533) have been designed for optics users who do not require the ultra accuracy of our machine-tool alignment targets but desire the added accuracy and greater timesavings of our new line of lasers (L-730 Series).

Designed to work with all of Hamar Laser Instruments' continuously sweeping lasers, most sweeping lasers from other manufacturers, and with theodolites scales for dimensional measurement, these targets are well suited for indoor construction work or any applications that require measurement of flatness, levelness, straightness, squareness and parallelism.

The targets all have built-in measurement displays and a measurment capability of .001" (.025 mm). The A-1533 features a large-number, rotating display for viewing the measurements from behind or to the side of the target.

The targets features measuring ranges of up to 3" (76 mm) with selectable resolutions of 0.001" (0.02 mm), 0.005" (0.1 mm) and 0.010" (0.2 mm). They can also easily be converted to a height gage, as the center of the target has been set to a tightly controlled dimension. Attach a precision spacer to the base of the target and the exact dimension from laser plane to the measured surface can be obtained. Optional precision spacers are available in 1" (25 mm), 2" (50 mm), 3" (75 mm) and 6" (150 mm) sizes, all of which are accurate to .0001" (.0025 mm).
