The L-720M is almost exactly the same as the L-720, except that the laser head is removable from the tilt base. The laser head has a 0.5" mounting stud that makes its application and use very similar to that of the L-700. The only difference is the L-720M laser head does not have any beam adjustments. As a result, it is almost a necessity to use software (Read 8 or Spindle 8) when using the L-720M for a lathe or any other spindle alignment application.
