L-743 Laser: Accurate, Portable & Reliable Alignment of RF Systems

Our company makes antenna measurement systems that help our customers test their antennas. We use the L-743 Triple Scan Laser Alignment System from Hamar to align our planar scanner systems during factory and site integration. We also use these systems during on-site maintenance to verify system alignment and to create correction grids to be able to correct for structural anomalies on the fly.

What I like best is that they are easy to use and very portable, which is especially important when you’re traveling. When we arrive at a customer facility, we have confidence we’re getting the accuracy we need. They have been very reliable over the years.

I highly recommend Hamar Laser alignment systems as a cost-effective alternative to laser trackers for creating planes and making sure our RF measurement systems are properly aligned. They are very useful and have been extremely dependable!

Our L-730 Laser Is Perfect for Aligning Tufting Machines

For many years now we’ve been using Hamar Laser’s L-730 Precision Leveling Laser System to align the advanced tufting machines we manufacture. These machines can be up to 15 meters long and are like huge sewing machines with 1000s of parts that need to be properly aligned. We use the L-730 to earth-level the castings after they’ve been machined and then ensure the internal components are parallel. We also use the L-730 in the field to level up our machines when they’re being installed in customers’ plants.

We like the L-730 because it’s accurate, easy to use and very robust. The system sets up very quickly and without needing a lot of adjustments. And from experience I can tell you that it can “take a lickin’ and keep on tickin.’” We’ve had some incidents over the years, and so we know the system is very resilient. I can most certainly recommend Hamar’s L-730. It’s rugged, compact and very simple to use, especially in applications like ours; it’s perfect for aligning tufting machines.

L-706 Custom Pipe Probe: Robust, Reliable & Accurate!

In late 2010 our company received an order to develop a system that would make precise measurements of inner diameter and non-linearity of refurbished oil rig pipes. The idea was to combine several measuring sensors (diameter, non-linearity, inclinometer, rangefinder) in one autonomous wireless probe. The first challenge was to find manufacturers who were willing to work with OEMs. The second challenge was to find an alignment system. Thus there are many different systems on the market. We could only find one that claimed to have suitable accuracy with proper sensor size and that was the L-706 system from Hamar Laser. Mr. Rod Hamar gladly agreed to customize system circuitry to fit in our probe. While working on the project we faced several programming problems. Those were solved fast by Hamar Laser support, and several microprogram changes were made to match our protocols. The system proved to be reliable, robust and even more accurate then we needed. “Proudly made in the USA” exactly describes Hamar Laser.
